Self-Confidence is Earned Through Our Athletics Program

The Chadwick Athletics Program focuses on character and leadership — developing student athletes who consistently display competitiveness, teamwork, sportsmanship, persistence, courage, respect, resilience and mental toughness. We have a long and proud history of growing successful athletic teams that compete at all levels, winning various Prep League, CIF and State Championships in recent years. Since 1975, Chadwick athletes have won more than 130 Prep League championships and 26 CIF Southern Section titles. Our girls cross-country team has won three state championships.

Chadwick alumni go on to play sports for universities like USC, Stanford, Dartmouth, Columbia and the U.S. Naval Academy as well as top-rated NCAA Division III colleges, such as Williams, Amherst and Hamilton. They bring skills in football, basketball, baseball, softball, volleyball, water polo, cross country/track, soccer and tennis from their years playing for Chadwick. We also count among our alumni various professional athletes, such as Lindsay Davenport in tennis, and world champion Christen Press in soccer.

In addition to our sports teams, we have daily athletics and/or PE instruction for all grades, including in the Village School, with instruction in swimming, rock climbing, dance and sports.
